Bio

John Proefrock is a Master’s student in the School of Aquatic and Fishery Sciences at the University of Washington, Seattle. He is a member of the Molecular Ecology Research Laboratory (MERLab), where he researches population genetics and behavorial ecology of surf smelt (Hypomesus pretiosus). His research interests include conservation genetics and the use of genetic data in ecological modeling.
